What is Vedic Meditation?
Vedic meditation is a simple style of meditation which allows the mind to ‘transcend’, meaning to move beyond thought and settle into deeper, restful states of awareness. As a result, layers of stress and fatigue are released spontaneously allowing our naturally unbounded, grounded, capable and fully awake selves to emerge.
It is practised for 20-minutes twice a day, with the eyes closed and sitting in a comfortable position. There is no focus, concentration or control.
You will receive a personalised mantra, which catches the mind and allows it to be drawn to deeper states of being and stillness. As the mind begins to still, the body naturally follows. You will be taught how to use your personal mantra easily and effortlessly to allow both the body and mind to deeply rest.
Whether you are an experienced meditator, have tried meditation sporadically or have no experience at all, anyone can practice this technique and experience benefits.
‘Vedic’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Veda’ वेद meaning ‘knowledge’. It is timeless and authorless wisdom on the reality of our truest Self, which is unchanging, unbounded, fully capable, awake and calm. It is the knowledge of how to live a life in complete harmony with the intelligence of our own nature.

Benefits of daily practice
The benefits of daily practice of Vedic meditation are cumulative. This means the more you practise, the more you can receive.
We meditate not to become better at meditation, but to become better at life!
Each person is unique and will experience different benefits. However, with consistent practice, students have reported:
Increased energy levels and improved quality of sleep.
Increased ability to let go, adapt and be resilient in life.
Greater capacity to respond to situations from a place of calm and clarity.
More presence and connection with loved ones and family.
Greater ease, love, self-confidence and self-awareness.
Inner stability, contentment and fulfilment.
Greater compassion and living predominantly from the heart.
Greater creativity and naturalness in expressing one’s true self.
Overall reduction in stress and support with/relief from stress associated conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression, fatigue, digestive and reproductive conditions).
Faster recovery from illness and injury.
Vedic meditation is taught over 4x consecutive days.
DAY 1 - A private 1:1 session (60 minutes). You will witness a ceremony of gratitude to the tradition from which this practice originates from, receive your personalised mantra and learn the foundations of the technique. The session ends with a meditation together.
These following sessions are designed so you can bring all your experiences, questions, and learnings to the table, as well as explore different topics depending on what you need to become a confident and self-sufficient daily meditator.
DAY 2 - (90 minutes). We will explore the mechanics of the technique, the practicalities of meditation, what different experiences may mean and how to know you are meditating correctly.
DAY 3 - (90 minutes). We will take a deep dive into the powerful connection between mind and body, the mechanics of stress release, thoughts and thinking, Vedic psychology, strengthening intuition and connecting with nature’s intelligence.
DAY 4 - (90 minutes). We talk about the integration of meditation into every aspect of our lives. We will explore some eyes open techniques for dealing with getting stressed, a vision of what is possible as a daily meditator and how to cultivate living a life of greater flow and ease.
